Flowers to 12cm, one per spike, on a robust pseudobulb with a single labiate leaf. This labiate leaf species is best grown in a well drained pot or basket. The media should be open so that it does not stay wet. The flowers are sparkling textured, and deliciously fragrant of raspberry.
Rhyncolaelia glauca comes from Mexico, requires an intermediate climate and when growing, should be fertilised and watered adequately. When not in growth, drier conditions should prevail.
Good ventilation is essential, and maximum sunlight short of leaf burn will ensure maximum flowering. This species is prolific when grown in a basket. Also known as Brassavola glauca.
